I received them last week and used them recently. They're the best, most consistent cam clamps in my armamentarium right now! They work like a charm and are very nicely built.

I got mine and I am happy enough with them and they're well made. But two of them are going to require a slight modification to get adequate clamping pressure. Shouldn't take much work though, and for $10 each I have no complaints.

Guys, yes, I'll make more. But I need to get a good handle on Healdsburg first. So I'm thinking a couple of months. Joshua, I'm curious what your trouble was. I had a few that slipped when the cam was actuated. Since I'm using brass pins rather than the crazy spring thingies that the production ones use, I had troubles getting them tight. I tried pretty much everything and finally settled on glueing the pin to the clamp body and undersize drilling the hole in the cam to make the pin fit very snuggly. Some worked better than others. I'll replace yours if you aren't happy with them.
I did make one design change. It was either Michael P. or Paul Davis that I was talking to (heck, it could have been someone else the way my brain is working lately, but it doesn't matter)and we talked about faceting the cam so it sort of ratcheted and wouldn't slip as easily. You loose a bit of the micro adjustment but they hold much better.
So, I'll make more but I can't work on clamps and guitars at the same time so they will have to wait for a bit.

Thank you for the offer, but no need. Two of the clamps get a good amount of pressure, and two of them seemed to get nearly none at first. Usually to get good pressure with my stewmac ones I hammer the back edge down and then clamp the cam. I did this and got some clamping pressure, and left it clamped up for a while. I think maybe the wood above the brass pin was in the way of the pin or something to make it springy. Hard to say, but they're settling in. Its weird, its like they're getting more pressure after a couple of uses! I bet they'll sound really good once played in...

I will buy more from you when you make them again.
